At Solar Supplies we offer three systems, both in a range of sizes.
Our Standard tube has a 360 degree collection surface and a double wall vacuum (like a vacuum flask). This makes it ideal when the roof is not directly South facing.
The Supertube is a larger version of the standard tube giving approx 50% more power
Both of the tubes have Consol’s patented heat tube that works on the condenser principle, condensing the available heat into the manifold.
The condenser can attain temperatures of 260 degrees
Both systems are available as a D.I.Y.kit.
The standard kit comes with a Manifold, Evacuated tubes, Circulation Pump with isolating valves, a pressure relief valve, System Controller and a replacement Hot water cylinder with fitted Immersion heater.
*Replacement Cylinder will be compatible with the existing central heating system and proposed solar collector*
A full design and installation service is available through our own fitters or by local Solar Heating installers registered with us.
We are also able to offer the all glass low pressure heating tubes, the DT system
These are a simple and inexpensive way to heat volume water and are therefore ideally suited to swimming pools etc. because of its low cost
All of the DS tubes for the collectors and the kits offered by Solar Supplies UK Ltd come complete with the latest high performance condenser tubes
All of the DS tubes offered by Solar Supplies UK Ltd fit into the collector using a dry sleeve connection. This contributes to the ease of assembly, stops any chance of leaks from the tubes. In the unlikely event of a tube being damaged and needing replacement, this can be done without the need to drain down the system!!
All of the tube supplied by Solar Supplies UK Ltd come FULLY ASSEMBLED. They have all been assembled in the factory and tested before dispatch!! |

Unfortunately owing to the astronomic rise in the price of copper we are going to have to increase the price of our collectors from 1st of July 2006. We have not had a confirmed increase from our suppliers but it would appear that it will be the region of £1.00 per tube. We will be showing standard price and discounts but will then be adding a “copper surcharge” We are doing it this way as we hope that this will only be a temporary measure and we will be able to take it off soon again without altering all of the pricelists again. |
